Maintenance Co-ordinator

Job Purpose

To provide a support service for the Maintenance/Engineering Team. This includes maintenance and preventative maintenance planning and scheduling. Support contract control. Spares quotations/ordering. Record keeping and document control.

Principal Accountabilities

• Owner of the site maintenance management system (MMS)

• Lead maintenance work order management.

• Discussing with the team all defects and how to assign them

• Work request approval, updating work orders to accurately reflect current work and reviewing daily new work orders.

• Assist in the development and preparation of task work packages

• Assist with the identification and allocation of resources for maintenance activities

• Spare parts stock control in conjunction with the Engineering Stores team

• Schedule asset inspections and standard work associated with equipment condition

• Collaborate with the maintenance supervisors to identify appropriate maintenance scheduled activities.

• Support maintenance meetings, attending weekly management meetings and produce statistics reports from the MMS

• Assist in the order of materials and services following pre-approval.

• Ensure that statutory inspections are scheduled and completed to ensure site compliance.

• Schedule maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production processes.

• Agreeing work scope with subcontractors and obtaining quotes.

• Record keeping and document control for maintenance and inspection activities.

• Assist in Audits

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a scheduling role.

Experience in a production environment is desirable.

Experience of planning and scheduling techniques and the use of tools to manage this.

Experience of co-ordinating resources.

Computer literacy, MS project, word, excel etc.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Good MMS working knowledge will be necessary.

Training will be provided for specific duties as required.
