Job Title: Sustainability Compliance Analyst

Based: Manchester

Purpose of role:

1. Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and waste feedstock sustainability management

2. Bioethanol compliance

3. Biodiesel compliance

As a member of Greenergy’s sustainability team you will assist the company in decarbonising transport fuels. Your numeracy skills and attention to detail will enable the business to make informed decisions and ensure we remain at the forefront of biofuel supply. You will have the opportunity to be creative and suggest new procedures to optimise your time and ensure the business recognises its’ commercial potential. In addition, you will be part of the carbon reporting process to help drive a reduction in energy consumption in the Group’s operations.

You will have to have experience of working in a team to meet deadlines but also be a self-starter and ensure internal targets are met and delivered. The role is varied and will require a quick thinker and the ability to advise the Head of European Sustainability Compliance of any potential risks to any impact is mitigated.

Main duties of the role

Core Sustainability Responsibilities:

• Ensure incoming feedstock declarations are received within contractual timelines and are validated prior to input in Greenergy’s systems

• Support Senior Sustainability Compliance Analyst and trading team with Biodiesel compliance

• Build and manage a bioethanol reporting tool

• Support biofuel audits for monthly governmental returns and annual licencing

• Ensure internal reporting is maintained to a high standard and support accountants in month end and quarter end processes

Other:

• Assist with integration of new systems into current processes

• Ad Hoc Biofuel Stock reporting cover and assistance

• Approve feedstock invoices for payment

Skills and Knowledge required

• Excellent analytical skills

• Compliance/audit experience

• Experience of detailed reconciliation responsibilities

• High level of numeracy

• Advanced Excel skills

• Sustainability experience (nice to have)

• Experience within the oil or energy industries would be a bonus

• Good interpersonal skills to be able to deal with Greenergy peers and external suppliers and customers
